Escalantehanon Athletes Shine at NIRAAM 2026


Escalante City, Negros Occidental — Escalantehanon student-athletes once again demonstrated excellence in sports as they delivered an outstanding performance in the recently concluded Negros Island Regional Athletic Association Meet (NIRAAM) 2026, bringing honor and pride to Escalante City.

Competing in various sporting events, the athletes showcased determination, discipline, and sportsmanship, earning multiple medals in athletics, martial arts, chess, and other competitions. Their achievements reflect the dedication of both the athletes and their coaches, as well as the strong support from the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Escalante City.

Gold Medal Achievements

Escalantehanon athletes secured several gold medals in different sporting categories:

  • Christine O. Toquero – Gold, Javelin Throw (Secondary Girls)

  • Kent C. Dorimon – Gold, Wushu (42 Kg – Boys)

  • Crisjay Supilanas – Gold, Javelin Throw (Secondary Boys)

  • May P. Galicia – Gold, Wushu (45 Kg – Girls)

  • Crisbel T. Gale – Gold, Pencak Silat (Tanding Category)

  • Crisbel T. Gale – Gold, Pencak Silat (Ganda Category)

  • Xanejieh G. Cuambot – Gold, Chess (Blitz Team – Elementary)

  • Xanejieh G. Cuambot – Gold, Chess (Standard Team – Elementary)

  • Rona V. Beatingo – Gold, 4×100 Meter Relay (Paragames)

Silver Medalists

The following athletes also earned silver medals, contributing to Escalante City’s strong showing in the regional meet:

  • Jodi D. Barrios – Silver, Bocce Mixed-Doubles

  • Fely Lavigne M. Rios – Silver, Taekwondo (59 Kg Secondary Girls)

  • Rona V. Beatingo – Silver, 400 Meter Run

Bronze Medal Achievement

  • Jecel Pios – Bronze, 800 Meter Run (Secondary Girls)
